About me
Hi everyone! I'm Christian, and if you're here, it's likely that you share my love for plants, especially orchids. 🌿✨
The marketer turned gardener 🌱
You know, I spent years rushing through the hectic world of marketing with my agency, Le saint, in Canada.
It was exciting but also exhausting. Between meetings, advertising campaigns, and travels, my poor orchids didn't always get the attention they deserved.
I experienced incredible successes, but also crushing failures (yes, I’ve killed more than one plant due to lack of time 😅).
Then one day, I discovered mini-greenhouses and terrariums, and my gardening life completely changed.
These little wonders create a perfect microclimate, transforming even the darkest corner into a tropical paradise. Imagine me, in the middle of a conference call, mesmerized by my plants thriving before my eyes. Those moments saved me from boredom and rekindled my passion.
Cold and orchids: A frosty combination ❄️🌸
I live in Lac Delage, Canada. Winters here are magical, with mountains and large snowflakes gently falling, like a real Santa Claus village.
My barbet, Polo, loves the snow, even though he sometimes looks like a Christmas tree with all the snowballs clinging to his fur (see the photo above).
But this little paradise has its drawbacks. Power outages are frequent. One Christmas, a storm knocked out the power for four days.
I had to move all my orchids near the fireplace, and we slept around the hearth to stay warm. Imagine us all bundled up, with mist coming out of our mouths as we spoke.
Despite all my efforts, I lost almost all my plants to the cold. Yes, bad luck strikes sometimes... 🌬️❄️
Every flower is a victory 🌸🎉
Today, through this blog, I want to share my botanical adventures, my little victories, and my big failures.
I invite you to join me for practical advice, gardening tips, and stories full of greenery.
Whether you're an expert or a beginner, I hope to inspire you and help you create your own green oasis.
Come on, join me in this green adventure! Together, let's make every space a peaceful plant haven. 🌿💚
